GRASS AND GRAZING

Welcome to the third instalment in our miniseries about profitable regenerative farming that we’re hosting as we warm up for our Regenerative Agriculture Masterclass.

In today’s video I want to share a little bit about our approach to grassland ecology and how we use the various species of animals here in timely interaction through holistic planned grazing to radically transform what was once the worst pasture in the village.

Holistic managed grazing is a key part of regenerative agriculture in my mind, which is defined in the simplest terms as carbon storing agriculture; capturing carbon from the atmosphere and putting it back in the soil to drive the soil food web in the way nature intended.

To give you a concrete idea of what a grazing enterprise can look like in numbers, today we’re gifting you a fillable Pastured Beef enterprise spreadsheet from our Regenerative Agriculture Masterclass. You’ll find a link to it here on this page.

There’s still one more gift coming, so keep an eye out for an email notification when the last part in the miniseries is released.

And make sure you sign up for our exclusive live webinar 5 Principles to Run Your Farm By.

Up next: In the next video we’ll be having a look at perhaps the most popular enterprise of all, market gardening, and in our case specifically no-dig market gardening which combines the best of ecological thinking with the best of market garden planning in what I consider to be the very best way to grow vegetables for market.

All the best,

Richard
